Igor Tulchinsky is Founder, Chairman and CEO of WorldQuant, a global quantitative asset management firm with over $7 billion in assets under management and more than 27 offices in 17 countries. Prior to founding WorldQuant in 2007, Igor spent 12 years as a statistical arbitrage portfolio manager at Millennium Management. Igor is the Founder of WorldQuant University, a not-for-profit that offers an instructor-guided, tuition-free MSc program in Financial Engineering, and is committed to making higher-quality education more accessible worldwide. He also founded WorldQuant Ventures, a private investment vehicle focused on disruptive companies in technology. Igor previously worked as a venture capitalist, scientist at AT&T Bell Laboratories, video game programmer and author. Igor holds an M.A. in computer science from the University of Texas, completed in a record nine months, and an M.B.A. in finance and entrepreneurship from the Wharton School.
Admiral James Stavridis
Chairman, Advisory Board
Admiral James Stavridis is an Operating Executive of The Carlyle Group, following five years as the 12th Dean of The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. A retired 4-star officer in the U.S. Navy, he led the NATO Alliance in global operations from 2009 to 2013 as Supreme Allied Commander with responsibility for Afghanistan, Libya, the Balkans, Syria, counter piracy, and cyber security. He also served as Commander of U.S. Southern Command, with responsibility for all military operations in Latin America from 2006-2009. He earned more than 50 medals, including 28 from foreign nations in his 37-year military career.
Earlier in his military career he commanded the top ship in the Atlantic Fleet, winning the Battenberg Cup, as well as a squadron of destroyers and a carrier strike group – all in combat. In 2016, he was vetted for Vice President by Hillary Clinton and subsequently invited to Trump Tower to discuss a cabinet position in the Trump Administration.
Admiral Stavridis earned a PhD in international relations and has published eight books and hundreds of articles in leading journals around the world. His 2012 TED talk on global security has over one million views. Admiral Stavridis is a monthly columnist for TIME Magazine and Chief International Security Analyst for NBC News, and has tens of thousands of connections on the social networks.
James Golden, Ph.D.
Dr. James Golden is the CEO of WorldQuant Predictive. WQP is a technology-enabled services company, reimagining data science and AI for prediction. Dr. Golden’s focus is on creating an advanced AI research and delivery organization, partnering with leading industry organizations to improve decision-making and reduce risk.
Dr. Golden previously served as a Senior Managing Director for PwC’s Healthcare Advisory group, focused on technology, data and analytics strategy, and development. His work focused on identifying and utilizing new data sources, technologies, and analytics methods for PwC’s clients to help drive decision-making and optimize business practices. Prior to PwC, he was Chief Management Scientist and Partner at Accenture and Chief Technology Officer of SAIC’s commercial life science practice.
He has a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Rhodes College, Memphis,TN; an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee Space Institute in Tullahoma, TN; and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University (design and optimization of DNA sequencing devices).
Dr. Golden is an angel investor and advisor to a number of Healthcare IT startups including Kyruus, Enlitic, Truveris, and Propeller Health.

Slava is a 20-year+ technology industry veteran focusing on solving business problems with Software Engineering. He has led award-winning teams in finance, media, and non-profit sectors and enjoys pushing the envelope of what is considered possible. He is currently embracing the challenge of helping to build a new way to enable Quantitative Researchers to answer tough questions businesses and organizations have. He received his degree in Economics from the Wharton School and his Computer Science degree from the School of Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania.
Thiam H. Lee, Ph.D.
Head of Research
Thiam Lee is the Head of Research for WorldQuant Predictive. His work at WQP draws from his background in Operations Research, Machine Learning, and Quantitative Finance. Prior to joining the team, Thiam worked as a Portfolio Manager in WorldQuant Asset Management and Principal Data Scientist in Bonobos. Thiam received his Ph.D. from Columbia University.
Scott has over 25 years of finance and accounting experience, managing finance departments primarily in the consumer products industry. He started his own business in 2009, SJH Financial, where he provides outsourced CFO services for small and medium-sized businesses. SJH Financial has ongoing relationships with clients where they meet with them anywhere from weekly to monthly and discusses various financial and operational needs, ideas, and challenges. He also prepares tax returns for businesses as well as individuals. Prior to that, he spent the last 10 years working at fashion houses including Tory Burch and Elie Tahari. There he managed teams from 25-30 in the areas of accounting, finance, human resources and imports. He started his career at Arthur Andersen, in the audit and assurance department. His focus was on consumer product and service companies. During this time, Scott obtained his CPA license. Scott earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
Chief Of Staff
David joined WorldQuant Predictive as Chief of Staff in July 2018. David supports the CEO and works with the management team to define company strategy. Prior to that, he worked in Venture Capital and at a number of high-growth early stage startups. He received his degree in Business from Cornell University. He is an avid chess and squash player.
Office Manager/ Executive Assistant
Alyssa Etting is the Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the CEO at WorldQuant Predictive. She aids the CEO and the WQP team with organizing, streamlining, and assisting with projects. Alyssa also ensures that the company culture is exceeding expectations by planning events and maintaining an up-lifting atmosphere. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Education with a minor in Psychology from Curry College.
General Manager, Hungary
Attila Petroczi joined WorldQuant Predictive to build the Hungarian office in February 2019. Prior to that he worked for various startups as an analyst, data scientist, and R&D manager in different industries. Attila has a strong theoretical background in Statistics, AI, and ML but also knows how to translate business problems to analytical tasks. He is also a pioneer in building scientific communities around Data in Hungary as an organizer of meetups and CRUNCH Data Conferences.

Diana comes to WorldQuant Predictive with 20+ years of successful business development experience, specifically in growing technology start-ups. She leads our client and partner business development programs. She has previously worked with Advanced Analytics and Data Science teams at Fortune 500 clients across all industries and business use cases and has helped them to generate predictive models to solve business problems. She has experienced the challenges that lie ahead for these businesses as they grow their data-driven decision-making capabilities and is excited to help them achieve resilient and sustainable prediction operations at mass scale.
Igor Vasilcovsky has been a professional programmer and architect for nearly 18 years. He has successfully participated in the delivery of a number of large-scale projects and programs for banking, financial, and retail industries. His mission at WorldQuant Predictive is to build the World’s Best Platform for Prediction Signals and Models.
Head of Retail & CPG, Hungary
Based out of our Budapest office, Robert is the head of our Retail & Consumer Goods practice where he is helping organizations in the industry accelerate their revenue growth. Prior to joining WorldQuant Predictive, Robert was running his own consultancy serving clients in the Nordics, while heading the Advanced Analytics branch of a Danish consulting firm. Robert’s core domain expertise is in Pricing, Promotion, and Assortment optimization. His experience includes numerous projects at McKinsey & Co and other boutique consultancies. Robert’s mission at WQP is to package proprietary technologies, unique data, and the output of a multi-talented research team into simple solutions enabling optimal decisions for revenue growth executives in the Retail & Consumer Goods space.
Director of Client Solutions
Erin is the Director of Client Solutions at WorldQuant Predictive where she is responsible for working with Business Development, Strategy, Sales, Technology and Research executives to create novel approaches and client solutions for using Prediction to address important commercial and societal challenges.
Prior to starting with WorldQuant Predictive, Erin was Executive Director of WorldQuant Foundation, and Vice President of IT Family Office, under founder and CEO, Igor Tulchinsky. In these roles, she managed the Private Family Offices and Family Foundations. Before joining WorldQuant Foundation she was Senior Treasury Analyst for Omnicom Media Group where she did overnight ops, was the earn-out advisor in M&A and also the head of the research platform for S&P/Moody’s credit rating for their top 200 consultants.
Alongside years of financial experience, Erin has a strong entrepreneurial focus. She founded a wellness company in 2013 and sold to a strong competitor, just 3 short years later. She holds a BS in Finance/Economics from Johnson & Wales University Business School and attended Fairfield University’s MA program in Psychology/MFT.
Sadrach Pierre, Ph.D.
Sadrach Pierre is a Quantitative Researcher at WorldQuant Predictive. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Cornell University in 2018. Shortly after, he worked as a Data Scientist for Solidus Labs where he developed algorithms used to detect manipulation and fraud within cryptocurrency markets. Currently he works on building predictive tools for clients in the retail industry. His interests include statistics, machine learning, software programming, and physics.
Donghai He, Ph.D.
Senior Software Engineer / Researcher
Dr. Donghai He joined WorldQuant Predictive in February 2019 as a senior software engineer and researcher. His research interests include machine learning, artificial intelligence, optimization, and simulation. Donghai has multiple years of experience in developing and optimizing high performance computer storage systems. He was one of the major developers of ADSIM+ which is an in-house strategic simulation modeling tool of FAA.
Levente joined the WorldQuant Predictive team in October 2019 with a strong background in stochastic modeling and machine learning. He has worked in the academy and in the industry for small and multinational companies in several fields including teaching and research, as well as network programming and mobile network management. He received his MSc in electrical engineering and his PhD in informatics at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. His interests include contemporary literature and sports.
Yuxuan Xin, Ph.D.
Yuxuan Xin joined WorldQuant Predictive in April 2019 as a senior researcher. He received his Ph.D. from Princeton University in Aerospace Engineering. Before joining the team, he worked as a software developer/machine learning engineer for years to develop catalysts which reduce emissions of automotive vehicles. Yuxuan is curious about any questions regarding science, technology, and history.
Senior Software Engineer / Researcher
Jason Yang joined WorldQuant Predictive in April 2019 as a Senior Software Engineer / Researcher. He is interested in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and their scalable/efficient implementations in various real-world scenarios. Before joining WQP, Jason worked at Goldman Sachs. He holds degrees from Brown University and Johns Hopkins University.
Amit Belani is a senior engineer at WorldQuant Predictive. Since receiving his M.Eng. in Computer Science from Cornell University, Amit has worked in healthcare, finance, and at two DoE national labs. His experience and interests include data engineering, software development, and ML engineering.
